Our Story
A Little Piece of Jalisco on Culebra Road
El Rodeo de Jalisco started with a simple idea: cook the food we grew up eating and share it with our neighbors in San Antonio. Every taco, every plate of birria, every sizzling parillada comes from recipes passed down through family — nothing fancy, just honest, made-from-scratch Mexican cooking.
We know we're a small spot, and on a busy weekend the tables fill up fast (we've squeezed in parties of 15 before — ask our staff how!). But that cozy, packed-house energy is part of what makes us feel like home. Our cooks work the line non-stop and our servers hustle to keep every table happy, because good food is worth a little elbow room.
